Job Placement Assistance
The primary function of the Career Services Department is to assist graduates of Kaplan College in finding suitable and desirable employment in their fields of study. Assistance is also given to full-time and part-time students who are interested in working while attending the College.
If you are enrolled in a degree or certificate program of study at the College, you are required to complete a course entitled Presentation Skills for the Professional to assist you in developing effective job search skills, such as writing cover letters and resumes and mastering interviewing techniques. Professional communication and interpersonal skills are also emphasized. Through this course you will develop a credentials packet, which will be maintained by the Career Services Department and shared with prospective employers.
Each year, the Career Services Department sponsors an Employment Expo where prospective employers from the four-state area visit the campus. In addition to being able to apply directly for position openings, this is an outstanding opportunity for you to gain experience interacting with employers and to establish networking contacts in your career field.
Career planning and placement services are available at no cost to Kaplan College graduates throughout their careers. If you are a Kaplan College graduate interested in receiving help with your job search, contact the Career Services Department today.
