Education Funding Options
Prior to enrolling at Kaplan College, we encourage you to explore the availability of financial aid funding through state and federal agencies.* These options may include grants, work-study, and loans. Grants do not require repayment; loans do have to be repaid but at a low interest rate over several years.
Our Financial Aid Office will provide financial aid information and application assistance to help you understand your education funding options and determine if you qualify for aid.
Kaplan College is approved for the following loans and grants:
Loans
- Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFEL) Subsidized Loan
- Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFEL) Unsubsidized Loan
- Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFEL) Parent Loans for Undergraduate Students (PLUS)
- Alternative Loans
Grants
- Federal Pell Grant
- Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant
- Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG)
- Cal Grant
Work Study
- Federal Work Study Program
- US Department of Veterans Affairs Benefits*
Students who receive loans to pay for their course of instruction are responsible for repaying the full amount of the loan, plus interest, less the amount of any refund. Defaulting on loans guaranteed or reinsured by the state or federal government could result in damage to credit ratings, loss of eligibility for future student loans and other forms of financial aid, loss of deferment and monthly payment options, withholding of state and federal income tax refunds, initiation of court action, and garnishment of wages.
Additional information on eligibility requirements, alternate financing, amounts available, interest rates, scholarships, and repayment schedules is available from the College Financial Aid Office.
Third-party funding sources may be available to students from outside agencies. Students are encouraged to seek such funding and familiarize themselves with the policies of the agency. Although the College will assist students in completing necessary forms and will provide any required information to the agency, it is ultimately the student's responsibility to ensure the agency's requirements are met.
* Financial aid may be available to those who qualify.
